WHO: Increased Funds Show Results in Malaria Battle

Five billion more dollars will be needed every year for malaria funding to get the maximum possible global impact, the World Health Organization said Tuesday. Significant progress has been made over the last several years in the delivery of mosquito nets and malaria drugs, the WHO’s World Malaria Report 2009 found.  Much of this progress can be attributed to the increase of funds from $0.3 billion in 2003 to $1.7 billion in 2009.
