MAP International Congratulates Merck Donations Program For 50 Years of Philanthropy Across the globe, nearly 3 billion people – almost half the world’s population – live on less than $2 a day. For many of these people, access to healthcare is an ongoing challenge. Of the 1.9 billion children in the developing world, there are 270 million with no access to health services. Every day, 30 thousand children die from malnourishment and disease.
