Finding New Health Solutions for Mothers and Babies in Pakistan

The UK and Australia have launched a new £18.3 million Research and Advocacy Fund aimed at improving the lives of all mothers and children across Pakistan. The fund will help to ensure improved access and quality of maternal and newborn health services in the country.

In Pakistan, 15,000 women die each year from complications related to pregnancy and childbirth. Currently, over 60 percent of births in the country are not attended by skilled professionals.
