Climate Conference in Copenhagen

November 30 – December 1, 2009

Bella Center, Copenhagen, Denmark

2009 is a crucial year in the international effort to address climate change. In 2007, Parties agreed to shape an ambitious and effective international response to climate change, to be agreed at Copenhagen. Over a decade ago, most countries joined an international treaty — the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) — to begin to consider what can be done to reduce global warming and to cope with whatever temperature increases are inevitable. Governmental representatives from around the world will meet to establish legally binding obligations to combat global warming.
