Aid Group Seeks $4 Billion for Life-Saving Vaccines

The Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI) said it was seeking $4 billion to vaccinate as many as 130 million of the world’s poorest children against diarrhea and pneumonia. GAVI estimates that introducing pneumococcal and rotavirus vaccines in between 42 and 44 countries could save up to 11 million children’s lives by 2030.
